Wisdom from Women of a Certain Age

I almost forgot to tell you ... I am the featured "Woman of a Certain Age" over at Mid-Life Mama today.

Mid-Life Mama Feature
"Mid-life Mama, is a blog that was created by and for "Women of a Certain Age" who want to meet other mid-life mama's to share our experiences, support each other in this great time of transition, and learn from one-another in all area's of our new life from peri to post menopause, from empty-nesting to being grandparents, from retirement to getting and keeping our health in check."
Anna is the force behind Mid-Life Mama. She also blogs at I Am Nanny Anna! I encourage you to check out both of her blogs.

In recognition of achieving the status of "Woman of a Certain Age" I've decided to launch a new feature I'm considering calling "Things I Know Now That I Didn't Know Then." It seems to me that there are a lot of things that fall into that category. It will be an occasional post and I'm hoping you will help me out by submitting your own words of wisdom. I'm completely willing to give you credit. Please share. Check back this weekend for the first entry in this occasional feature.

  1. I'm heading over to read the post now. I should have read it first then come back to comment!

  2. on my way to go and check it out!!

  3. SO EXCITED FOR YOU! Can't wait to see what comes of this! yeay!

  4. Thanks for letting me feature you Vicki. I can't wait to follow your new feature...I am already thinking about the things I know now that I didn't know then...omg the list is really long, lol!

    Hugs my friend!

  5. Vicki, Loved the feature. Great way to get to know you better. My three grandchildren live down there in Texas also. I'm not so far away here in Arkansas. I agree with Anna, I have so many things that I know now, that I didn't know then - and plenty that I knew, but just did it my way anyway (lessons in life) ... look forward to the new feature, also.

  6. Congrats Vicki! I loved the article and I think you're very right. We are much younger than our own mothers were at the same age. Can't quite explain it either but I completely agree! And we are MUCH younger than our own grandmothers were during mid-life!

  7. Yes! Congratulations! Your interview was fun to read.

I really like your idea of "things I know now that I didn't know then." I often think that things would have been much easier if I could have known then what I know now.

Congratulations for 36 years with your hubby, Vicki. Well done.

  8. Looking forward to your new feature. I know it's going to be fantastic. :) Off to read your post on the other blog....which I already know I will enjoy. Keep writing. It's always a great read! :)
