  2. they are SOOOO CUTE!

I love fresh corn & watermelon, and that's about it these days. Summer is too hot here.

  3. All good things for summer, Grams.
I'd add the verdant rich smells of summer.
Of moss and rain and freshly cut grass. The sweet lilac scent to the manure on the hay fields. Wet sidewalks after a rain, cocoanut oil on the beach,
    The scent of life.

  5. Wonderful pictures and a great list. Made me realize that I think I appreciated summer more when I lived in Michigan where you absolutely froze in the winter. Living in southern California it only warms up 10 or 20 degrees so it isn't as big of a deal. I also think you appreciate summer lots more when you are school age.

  6. All those sound pretty fantastic. In our neck of the woods, we don't have berries or tomatoes from the vine but they are coming.

  7. ahh what wonderful memories your list brought to my mind. Lots of summers filled with fun. Sadly, it is barely Spring in Utah this year. Maybe someday summer will come!!
